• Read the Buying past service guide for a cost estimate based on your age and salary and important details about eligibility and deadlines.
• You can apply to buy past service at any time while you’re an active member of the College Pension Plan. You must submit your application to that employer no later than 30 days after terminating all employment under the plan.
• The approximate amount of money you are considering using to buy service.
  • By providing this information on Part A of the application, we can provide an estimate of how much that amount could increase your pension.

1. Download the Past Service Purchase Application and save to your computer.
2. Complete Part A.
3. Send the entire package to the employer where the service occurred; they will complete Part B and submit the application to the College Pension Plan.
4. Submit a copy of your ID to the plan
   • Upload your ID securely using My Account > My profile > Personal information

By submitting the application, you are not obligated to buy the service. Once we have processed your application, we will send you a Statement of Cost outlining the cost, potential increase, and next steps, if you choose to proceed.

You’ll receive an email notification when the statement is available in My Account Message Centre.

Use this form if you are applying to buy service for:

• Time you worked for a College Pension Plan employer before that employer joined the plan.
• Time you worked for a College Pension Plan employer but chose not to participate in the plan.
