In 2025, the plan’s assets hit a new high of $43.2 billion. Continued growth is evident in strong 5- and 10-year annualized returns of 6.4 per cent and 7.5 per cent respectively. Both exceed 5.75 per cent, the amount needed to ensure the plan can meet its pension obligations for years to come.

Strength in members

The plan serves tens of thousands of BC's educators. In 2025, there were over 52,000 active members contributing to the plan and around 43,000 members receiving a pension.
