Waived or cancelled coverage - Municipal
Canadian Dental care plan
Did you or your dependent(s) receive an eligibility form from the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)? We can help.
Waived or cancelled coverage
If you waived or cancelled dental coverage with the Municipal Pension Plan, here’s what you need to know about the CDCP.
Qualifying for the CDCP
- You may qualify for the CDCP if you waived or cancelled coverage with the Municipal Pension Plan before December 11, 2023.
- We can provide a letter confirming the date you waived or cancelled coverage.
- You need to send this letter to CDCP to continue with their coverage.
Not eligible for the CDCP
- If you waived or cancelled coverage with the Municipal Pension Plan on or after December 11, 2023, you do not qualify for the CDCP, according to their eligibility rules.
- To enroll in the Municipal Pension Plan dental coverage, you need to show proof of continuous comparable coverage with another provider.
Note: The CDCP coverage does not qualify as proof of comparable coverage.
