Decrease in contribution rates

Great news—the employer contribution rate is decreasing as of July 1, 2016

The results of the Teachers’ Pension Plan’s 2014 valuation are in. For important details about the decreased employer contribution rate, please read this Board Communiqué.

If you have employees who are members of the Municipal Pension Plan, applicable rate changes are governed under that plan. Please refer to the Municipal Pension Plan Employer Newsletter for more information.

2016 YMPE

Now available—2016 year’s maximum pensionable earnings rate

Set each year by the federal government, the year’s maximum pensionable earnings rate is used in the pension calculation formula and affects contributions and benefits. Current and historical amounts are available to help you make sure your employer and employee contributions are correct.
