Looking ahead: the investment market outlook for 2014

With inflation below two per cent in Canada and the U.S., and economies operating below capacity, the respective central banks are maintaining low interest rates to stimulate economic growth.
The European Central Bank has also implemented policies to stimulate economic growth.
Geopolitical risks are heightened as evidenced by recent events in Ukraine and Russia. Furthermore, a continued slowdown in China could dampen world economic growth.
